Job summary
Coherent Corp. in Sherman, TX is seeking a seasoned EHS leader to guide the site Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System in alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
You will develop the EHS strategy, drive performance metrics, and coordinate with site leadership on risk, incidents, and improvement initiatives. The role oversees occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental permits, radiation safety, toxic gas monitoring, and TGMS/PSM programs, ensuring regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or high-hazard environment.
- Experience managing EHS personnel and comprehensive programs.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Texas requirements and industry standards.
- Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management and wastewater/air permitting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the site EHS Management System aligned with Coherent standards and ISO 14001/45001.
- Develop and execute the site EHS strategy, objectives, and performance indicators.
- Oversee OSHA Process Safety Management and high-hazard activities.
