Job summary

BW Integrated Systems in the United States is seeking a Director, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) – North America to lead the development and execution of BW Packaging’s EHS strategy across North America.

You will partner with Operations, Field Service and People teams to embed safety into daily practices, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role oversees Workers’ Compensation and safety program deployment across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, operations, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Professional certifications (CSP/CIH/CHMM/NEBOSH) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, execute and continuously improve the EHS strategy aligned with business goals and culture expectations.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory bodies and local manufacturing safety regulations.
• Lead deployment of safety programs (LOTO, arc flash, safe lifting, machine safety, fall protection).
• Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, and audits.
• Manage Workers’ Compensation programs (US) with effective case management and cost control.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs and coach leaders across BW Packaging.
• Present EHS performance to executives and maintain centralized reporting systems.
