Job summary

BW Packaging in North America seeks a Director, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the development and execution of the EHS strategy across our sites. The role partners with Operations, Field Service and People teams to embed safety into daily practice and drive continuous improvement.

You will oversee Workers’ Compensation strategy in the US, ensure regulatory compliance, and standardize safety programs (LOTO, fall protection, machine safety) across operations, while building a culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, operations, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, NEBOSH preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, execute and continuously improve the EHS strategy aligned with business goals and culture expectations.
• Establish and standardize EHS governance models, policies, procedures, and best practices across all global sites.
• Advise executive leadership on EHS risks, trends, and regulatory impacts.
• Lead deployment and sustained execution of behavior-based safety, near miss reporting, and safety Gemba program.
