Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Director, EHS to provide safety thought leadership across multiple EMCOR companies in the mid-Atlantic area.

You will partner with Safety, Quality & Productivity teams to improve safety planning, processes, and performance while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The role covers environments from construction to facilities services, involves significant travel (60-80%), and may include leadership in fleet management, environmental compliance,

Qualifications

BA/BS or equivalent trade experience required.
10 years minimum leadership experience in addressing and reducing risk in a dynamic, hazardous, and labor-intensive industry.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations and practices in construction and general industry applications.
Experience with safety enterprise software and data analysis.
Willingness to travel 60-80% to operating companies in various locations.

Responsibilities

Support safety policies for 5-10 companies with 3,000 to 6,000 employees.
Monitor compliance with workplace regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
Maintain safety documentation and required recordkeeping.
Assist Safety leadership with analysis, development, and implementation of action plans.
Review incident management processes and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate investigations of serious injuries or incidents with internal parties.
Support implementation of safety initiatives across the company.
Embed in designated companies to drive SQP related change.
