Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Director, EHS to lead safety and occupational health thought leadership across multiple EMCOR companies in the mid-Atlantic region.

The role partners with Safety, Quality & Productivity teams to improve safety planning, processes, and operations while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. The Director will guide local safety personnel, support incident analysis, and oversee travel-intensive responsibilities for 60–80% of the time, embedded

Qualifications

• 10 years minimum leadership experience addressing and reducing risk in hazardous environments.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, management, and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate safety-related enterprise software and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Support development, planning, and implementation of safety policies for 5–10 companies with 3,000–6,000 employees.
• Monitor compliance with policies and regulations at multiple sites.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
• Assist safety leadership with analysis and action plans.
• Review incident management processes for effectiveness and drive corrective actions.
• Recommend incident prevention measures to leadership.
• Coordinate investigations of serious injuries or incidents.
• Support safety, quality, productivity, fleet initiatives across EMCOR units.
