Summary:
Designs, develops, implements and oversees the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations | Responsibilities are within the Environmental Health and Safety Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
Major Position Responsibilities
- Outlines and implements policies or programs to educate and promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance.
- Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.
- Communicates regularly with management and administration regarding the status of environmental initiatives.
- Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
- Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.
- Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
- Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
- Communicates facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
- Has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.
Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree and 5-7 years expierence
OR - Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline preferred

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
