Job summary
WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an EHS Specialist to support routine operations, inspections, and environmental reporting across multiple facilities within the local footprint. You will develop training, coordinate meetings, and assist with compliance programs and audits, collaborating with site leadership to maintain safe, compliant operations.
The role includes travel to 5-7 locations, on-site support for air and waste programs, and administration of EHS software, with opportunities to drive
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts/Science in Safety, Engineering, Environmental or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn EHS software systems.
- Willingness to travel between WIN facilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate EHS training programs for facilities, including on-boarding and ongoing sessions.
- Establish and participate in EHS meetings, incident reviews, and site safety committees.
- Assist with inspections, monitoring, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance across sites.
- Support emergency drills and incident response, including root cause analysis and regulatory reporting.
- Provide administration for safety and environmental computer systems (Lytx, CEM, SharePoint, PI, Velocity, TagLink).
