Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to support two operations in North Carolina. This field-focused role requires building strong relationships with employees and supervisors while driving safety and environmental compliance.

You will lead EHS compliance activities, conduct field inspections, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions to completion across both locations, while maintaining safety programs, training records, and required documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in chemical, mining, industrial minerals, manufacturing, heavy industry, construction materials, utilities, or similar industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting inspections, recognizing hazards, investigating incidents, and managing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with environmental programs involving stormwater, waste, and chemical management.
  • Experience and willingness to work in outdoor industrial environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to build practical and proactive EHS programs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact during regulatory inspections and follow up on findings and corrective actions.
