Job summary

Sierra Circuits is seeking an Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist to support the EHS Department at its Sunnyvale facility. The role involves coordinating training, ensuring safety policy compliance, and driving corrective actions for incidents and environmental risks.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in EHS in manufacturing, strong communication, root-cause analysis, and project-management skills, with proficiency in Word and Excel. On-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of EHS in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively and conduct presentations.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage projects and meetings with close attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work around chemicals in manufacturing.
• Strong work ethic and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Solve problems with a positive attitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Administer a training program, coordinate time, rooms, and participants.
• Provide safety training to ensure policy compliance.
• Investigate accidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Lead safety risks identification and environmental impact mitigation.
• Assist employees with safety supplies; track and distribute.
• Support safety team meetings; record notes and communicate.
• Coordinate PPE purchases with the Purchasing Department.
• Perform monthly checks of PPE, fire extinguishers, eye wash, and safety showers.
• Update evacuation maps and conduct monthly safety audits.
• Support operations during emergency response activities.
