Job summary

Fortune Brands is seeking an EHS Specialist to identify, develop and implement safety programs across New London locations, reducing injuries and costs. You will act as a subject matter expert on safety and health and support environmental programs as needed.

The role involves coordinating testing, maintaining environmental audits, and leading safety education and training under the Sr. EHS Manager guidance. Strong knowledge of EPA/OSHA rules and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CSP, OSHA outreach trainer, Powered Industrial Truck trainer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert insight to plan and implement environmental, health and safety policies in compliance with EPA/OSHA rules.
  • Conduct incident investigations for accidents and hazards in the workplace.
  • Coordinate environmental and IH testing (storm water, sound, IAQ, personal exposures).
  • Maintain environmental programs and audits for the facility.
