Primetals Technologies USA is seeking an EHS Engineer/Specialist for the New London, OH location. The role ensures day-to-day compliance with the Environmental, Health and Safety Program at local level to maintain ISO and EPA certifications.

Reports to VP of Quality and EHS and to General Manager in New London, OH. Essential functions include enforcing safety and environmental policies, training teams, leading audits, and managing injury investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with at least two years in an EHS role or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations and technical procedures.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in common office software and EHS data systems.

Responsabilités

• Enforce safety and environmental policies complying with OSHA and EPA rules.
• Train supervisors and teams on safety practices and chemical handling.
• Lead cross functional audits for safety and environmental compliance.
• Manage environmental programs and waste disposal per laws.
• Support injury investigations and reporting for regulatory agencies.
• Maintain logs of incidents and analyze root causes to prevent recurrence.
