Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA is seeking an EHS Engineer/Specialist for our New London, OH location to ensure day-to-day compliance with the Environmental, Health and Safety Program and to support ISO and EPA certifications.

The role reports to the VP of Quality and EHS and works with a cross-functional team to train staff, perform audits, investigate incidents, and improve safety performance across operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret general business documents and regulations.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Problem solving and data interpretation abilities.
• Proficient in database and office software.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety and environmental policies in line with OSHA/EPA rules.
• Provide safety/environmental training to supervisors and staff.
• Lead cross-functional audits for compliance at workstations.
• Enforce environmental programs and waste disposal per regulations.
• Participate in Safety/Environmental Team activities and monthly meetings.
• Self-audit facilities and implement corrective actions.
• Direct injury investigations and support regulatory reporting.
• Track and analyze injuries; implement preventive actions.
• Maintain knowledge of EH&S technologies and regulatory updates.
• Manage Worker’s Compensation as directed by leadership.
• Support department and company goals.
