Job summary

Latham, The Pool Company is seeking an EHS Specialist to implement the Environmental, Health, and Safety program at the facility level, collaborating with operations and human resources to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires knowledge of EHS regulations, safe work practices, and environmental recordkeeping, with strong communication and training skills to interact with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• BS in Safety/Environmental Science or related field and 2 years manufacturing experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Compliance management in a manufacturing facility that operates under a Title V Air Permit.
• Managing a full Respiratory Protection Program and Hearing Conservation Program.
• Familiarity with Powered Industrial Truck safety and Electrical Safety NFPA 70E.
• Capacity to multi-task, prioritize workload and set and reach goals.
• Ability to effectively present information in both oral and written form; ability to present and train in front of an audience.
• Competency to keep accurate records.
• Proficient with computer including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with site team to implement the EHS Program and respective policies.
• Audit effectiveness of the site EHS program through audit program including annual corporate audit.
• Provide EHS training to all site personnel.
• Maintain all pertinent safety and environmental records.
• Maintain workers compensation files and investigate incidents.
• Generates internal and external reports as required.
• Execute site inspection program with respect to safety and environmental regulations.
• Accompany state, federal, and local inspectors from various agencies.Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees and regulatory agencies.
• Act as local expert on EHS requirements, providing guidance and working closely with site leadership team.
• Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to support multiple facilities as well as corporate / nationwide EHS projects.
