Job summary

Raymond West is seeking an EHS Specialist to implement safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across warehouse and field operations. You will lead the Safety Committee, train staff, and drive hazard identification with the EHS Manager.

The role requires strong communication, data analysis, and ability to work with HR and insurance providers. Travel is part of the job, and a post-offer background check is required.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety & Health, or Risk Management.
• Acceptable: Associate's degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred; or high school diploma with 5 years related experience (2 in safety/environmental).
• Advanced training or certifications such as CSP, CSHM, COSS, or OTI Safety certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs and procedures to ensure compliance with safety, risk, and environmental regulations.
• Report to EHS Manager and communicate on project assignments and status.
• Support Covid Prevention Program safety activities.
• Track and analyze data to identify risks and opportunities; provide recommendations.
• Maintain and report on site safety programs and regulatory activities (SCAQMD, EPA, etc.).
• Lead Safety Committee meetings and safety trainings for all levels of staff.
• Perform risk assessments of shop, warehouse, and field sites; mitigate risks with leadership.
