Job summary

Dover Food Retail, Keosauqua, Iowa, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to partner with the site operations team and drive safety as a core value.

You will support the EHS Manager, lead regulatory training, conduct daily safety discussions, perform incident investigations, and audit programs to ensure OSHA and EPA compliance, with opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or in lieu of education minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Communication and Presentation skills.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the plant EHS Manager and plant staff: investigate, recognize, report, and recommend corrective actions on safety and environmental compliance issues.
• Communicate safety priorities, regulatory updates, and corrective actions clearly and consistently across the facility.
• Coordinate with supervisors and shop floor personnel to engage in daily safety discussions.
