Job summary

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in medical device manufacturing to hire an EHS Specialist on a 6–18 month contract in Minnesota. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, EHS programs, training, and site operations support.

The EHS Specialist will conduct inspections, support audits, investigate incidents, and develop safety documentation. Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and effective training delivery are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in EHS or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements; EPA knowledge a plus.
• Experience with site inspections and incident investigations; root-cause analysis.
• Ability to present EHS information to small groups and lead training.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic data-tracking systems.
• EHS certifications or training are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EHS activities in support of Operations and the EHS team.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, EHS programs, and training.
• Conduct site inspections and support audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; document findings and corrective actions.
• Maintain and update EHS documents, SDSs, and safety procedures.
• Develop site-specific EHS procedures and training materials.
• Deliver EHS trainings and track completion records.
• Support safety committee activities and data reporting.
• Maintain EHS records and regulatory data.
