Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field including OH&S, environmental science, engineering, chemistry or biology.
• 3+ years of experience in occupational and environmental safety and health.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Experience with state and local reporting requirements, CalEPA, and related agencies is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group training delivery.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and shift priorities when urgent issues arise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with SAP (ERP and SuccessFactors) and tools such as Benchmark Gensuite, UL WERCS, PowerBI, and Claude.

Responsibilities

• Create and update EHS programs, procedures, and training.
• Manage environmental programs of modest complexity (storm water, air quality, chemical storage, hazardous waste).
• Investigate accidents and document corrective actions to closure with supervisors.
• Author Bio-Rad product Safety Data Sheets using WERCS Studio.
• Lead onsite safety teams, including emergency response and safety committee activities.
• Participate in regulatory audits and coordinate Bio-Rad's responses.
