Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Specialist to support complex Oil & Gas and Remediation projects. This role drives proactive safety culture, ensures compliance, and supports project teams through planning, hazard analysis, and execution readiness.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in health and safety program development, HASP reviews, and stakeholder coordination to deliver safe and efficient project outcomes across phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in safety, health, and environment for Oil & Gas or remediation projects.
• Qualified applicants must pass client-specific background and drug & alcohol screening.
• HASp development experience and knowledge of OSHA/EPA guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive HASP reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and project-specific risk mitigation.
• Provide planning support during project development, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Lead or support pre-field kickoff meetings to align safety expectations and procedures.
• Partner with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to integrate safety into execution strategies.
• Monitor and interpret local, state, and federal safety regulations for Oil & Gas and remediation activities.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation, procedures, and reports for project needs.
• Promote proactive safety culture through coaching and communication.
• Support incident trend analysis and recommend corrective actions.
