Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Field Specialist to support Oil & Gas and Remediation projects on-site. You will act as the eyes and ears on projects, identifying hazards, conducting site visits, and supporting a strong safety culture across operations.

Responsibilities include ensuring readiness with Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, conducting audits, and documenting safety activities. Requires 4+ years in field safety and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of field safety, health, and environment experience in Oil & Gas or remediation projects.
• Must pass client-specific background and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site safety representative providing continuous field-level support and oversight.
• Conduct routine and unscheduled site visits to monitor safety policy compliance.
• Identify hazards and work with field teams to implement corrective actions.
• Support and participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
• Perform Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) before operations.
• Assist with safety audits, inspections, and regulatory checks.
• Communicate safety expectations to field personnel and subcontractors.
• Maintain records of site observations and safety activities.
