THIS IS AN ONSITE DAILY REQUIRED POSITION.

The Opportunity

This position is based in Roseville, MN, within the CRM Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative solutions to improve treatment for heart arrhythmias.

What You'll Work On
Main Purpose of this Role

Implement and maintain AV policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all Abbott, local, state, and federal health and safety standards. This includes researching, determining applicability, and implementing compliance plans, providing employee training, conducting inspections, assisting with corrective actions, and tracking observations to closure. Serve as a center of expertise in Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, Emergency Preparedness, Hazard Communication, Fire Prevention, Industrial Hygiene, Contractor Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrical Safety, Biological Safety, Working at Heights, Machine Guarding, Powered Industrial Vehicles, and Ergonomics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS permits and licenses required for Abbott site operations.
  • Identify potential EHS risks and assess the impact of new or modified processes and regulations, taking appropriate actions.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and improve all programs related to Environmental, Health, and Safety scopes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure the Environmental Management System complies with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Review and maintain SDS database and chemical inventories.
  • Support emergency response and fire plans, including procurement of response materials and on-call emergency support.
  • Monitor employee exposure to chemicals and toxic substances, including conducting Industrial Hygiene sampling.
  • Investigate EHS incidents and develop prevention strategies.
  • Provide timely EHS training for employees and specific programs as needed.
  • Develop procedures, standards, and conduct assessments to ensure safety and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Understanding of health and safety principles.
  • 5-7 years of experience in health and safety.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus.
