Position Summary

Provide leadership and technical environmental, safety, and health support to the Quincy, IL site, including the Performance Minerals and Nutrition Manufacturing Units. Assist in developing and coordinating site environmental health and safety programs and objectives. Coordinate EHS training programs at the Quincy site. Monitor EHS regulations and provide technical support to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and internal environmental, health, and safety standards. Support the ongoing implementation and maturity of the Huber Sustainability Management System (HSMS) at the Quincy, IL site.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Compliance Support: Maintain and monitor systems to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health (EHS) regulations, including managing permits, audits, policies, training, and PPE selection.
  2. Site Services: Support implementation of engineering controls, maintain safety resources (videos, manuals), promote EHS awareness, and review operating procedures for safety considerations.
  3. Risk Management: Advise on regulatory changes, conduct audits, review safety reports, and ensure timely compliance to protect personnel and assets.
  4. Corporate Policy Implementation: Assist with the rollout of corporate EHS programs, including the Huber Sustainability Management System and Life Saving Rules.
  5. Regulatory Reporting: Support the timely completion of local, state, federal, and internal EHS reports.
  6. Monitoring & Assessment: Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene sampling, environmental monitoring, and site assessments.
  7. Engineering Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to manage process changes safely and prevent new hazards.
  8. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in safety science, engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science/engineering, or chemical engineering; extensive mining and manufacturing experience can substitute for formal education.
  • 3-5 years experience in mining or industrial operations.
  • Strong understanding of management systems and risk-based prioritization.
  • Mining experience and knowledge of 30 CFR (MSHA Regulations).
Compensation & Benefits

U.S. Market-Based Salary Range: $63,500.00 - $82,400.00

In addition to base salary, eligible for annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing. Huber offers a comprehensive benefits package detailed on the Huber Benefits Hub.
