Provide leadership and technical environmental safety and health support to the Quincy, IL site, including both the Performance Minerals and Nutrition Manufacturing Units. Assist with development & coordination of site environmental health and safety programs and objectives. Coordinate EHS training programs at the Quincy site.Monitor EH&S regulations and provide technical support to personnel to ensure compliance with Federal, State, local and internal environmental, health and safety.Support the continued implementation and maturation of the the Huber Sustainability Management System (HSMS) for the Quincy, IL site.
Compliance Support: Maintain and monitor systems to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health (EHS) regulations. This includes managing permits, audits, policies, training, and personal protective equipment (PPE) selection.
Site Services: Support implementation of engineering controls, maintain safety resources (e.g., videos, manuals), promote EHS awareness, and review operating procedures for safety considerations.
Risk Management: Proactively protect personnel and assets by advising on regulatory changes, conducting audits, reviewing safety reports, and ensuring timely compliance.
Corporate Policy Implementation: Assist with rollout of corporate EHS programs, including the Huber Sustainability Management System and Life Saving Rules.
Regulatory Reporting: Support timely completion of required local, state, federal, and internal EHS reports.
Monitoring & Assessment: Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene sampling, environmental monitoring, and site assessments.
Engineering Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to manage process changes safely and avoid introducing new hazards.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
· Bachelors degree in a safety science/engineering/industrial hygiene discipline, environmental science/engineering or chemical engineering, and knowledge of mining & manufacturing operations. Extensive experience in mining & manufacturing operations can substitute for educational requirements.
· 3-5 years experience in mining or other industrial operations
· Must have good comprehension of management systems and risk based prioritization
· Mining experience and understanding of 30 CFR (MSHA Regulations)

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
U.S. Market-Based Salary Range
EHS Specialist
[$63,500.00 -$82,400.00]
In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
