Arvato is seeking a Q-HSE (Quality, Health, and Safety Environment) Specialist to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with corporate standards and OSHA, and maintain a safe workplace. You will inspect environments, train associates, and manage audits and safety performance metrics at the Las Vegas Fulfillment site.
Responsibilities include DG regulatory compliance (DOT/IATA/IMDG/ICAO), DOT and IATA training, and collaboration with the Corporate DG Team on storage and handling.

The Q‑HSE (Quality, Health, and Safety Environment) Specialist will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with corporate safety standards, and maintaining a safe working environment. They will inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations, OSHA, and industry standards. The Q‑HSE Specialist will also conduct training and coaching for associates on observed work habits; perform safety observations & audits; train and assist others in completing their safety responsibilities (Audits, Following Safety Rules, etc.); and provide specific safety training as required by the Compliance Manager / Quality Manager & Supervisor.
Using your EHS background and knowledge, you will conduct trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits, maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams, conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions, identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits. By completing these responsibilities, you'll facilitate the incident investigation process and maintain the required documentation to comply with Arvato and OSHA regulations.
YOUR TASKS
In collaboration with the Operations team at the Las Vegas Fulfillment site, you will implement company policies to ensure compliance with all relevant local, regional, and international regulations regarding Dangerous Goods. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with DOT, IATA DGR, IMDG Code, and ICAO regulations for the packing, labeling, and marking of all DG shipments from the facility. You will also ensure that all Dangerous Goods Shippers' Declarations are accurately completed and maintained, in line with U.S., international, and carrier regulations.
As a prerequisite, you must complete the DOT and IATA certification training provided by Arvato. Additionally, you will work closely with the Corporate DG Team to ensure proper storage and handling of dangerous goods and to understand the warehouse system's decisions on the implementation of dangerous goods protocols.
