Job summary

Arvato is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and maintain a safe working environment across the site. You will develop and administer site safety programs, conduct training, lead the safety committee, track KPIs, perform risk assessments, and support incident investigations.

This role requires 3+ years in EHS, OSHA certification, and the ability to work with teams to prevent injuries and maintain

Job Description

The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with corporate and local/state/federal safety standards, and maintaining a safe working environment. They will maintain safety programs and inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with all safety regulations, OSHA, and industry standards. The EHS Specialist will conduct training and coaching for associates on observed work habits; perform safety observations & audits; train and assist others in completing their safety responsibilities (Audits, Following Safety Rules, etc.); and provide specific safety training as required.

YOUR TASKS

• Maintain and administer site-specific safety programs;
• Conduct training and coachassociates on observed work habits;
• Lead and engage a site safety committee;
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to report to onsite management teams;
• Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductions;
• Track and facilitate trainings across the different jobs functions as needed;
• Support incident reporting and investigation;
• Conduct root cause analyses;
• Complete or facilitate inspections of all safety-related equipment, PPE, and procedures;
• Ensure site complies with all local, state and federal environmental regulations;
• Fulfill client-related EHS requirements;
• Identify and inform management of hazards, compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in an Environment, Health & Safety related field
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification
• Experience in emergency response planning and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Holds First Aid / CPR certification
• PIT safety awareness
• Hazard identification / risk assessment experience
• Warehouse operations or logistics experience
• Environmental compliance experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
