Job description

As the EHS Specialist, you will support all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance for the facility, providing leadership to plant team members to ensure operations adhere to all Federal, State, and local regulations, including permits and corporate policies. You will work closely with other plant functions to address Management of Change issues on plant-related projects to minimize EHS impacts. You will report to the EHS Manager and work at our Indianapolis Bakery plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As the EHS Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and ConAgra corporate environmental policies.
• Ensure timely reporting, classification, and investigation of EHS incidents or near misses.
• Drive the EHS Audit program to examine compliance with regulations and corporate standards, tracking the closure of corrective and improvement actions.
• Develop and publish key metrics and reports (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Develop and implement training to educate all plant team members on EHS issues.
• Lead and manage activities for the site Environmental, Health & Safety Committee.
• Maintain required training records per organizational and corporate guidelines.
• Serve on the facility emergency response team to oversee EHS activities.
• Participate in CPS activities for the EHS pillar.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage contracted groups from an EHS perspective.
• In the absence of the EHS Manager, ensure that EHS tasks are covered.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $59,000-$78,000

The annual salary listed is the expected offer; actual salary will depend on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Conagra complies with applicable minimum salary laws for exempt employees.
