Job summary

Arvato is a leading global 3PL provider focused on supply chain management and e-commerce. The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist/Coordinator will promote a positive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain a safe working environment.

  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop, promote, and administer site safety programs
  • Conduct trainings and coach associates on safety practices
  • Lead a site safety committee and safety audits
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly safety KPI reports for management
  • Perform risk assessments for jobs and new equipment
  • Track and coordinate trainings across job functions
  • Support incident reporting and investigation; conduct root cause analyses
  • Inspect safety equipment, PPE and procedures for compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations
  • Support client EHS requirements and communicate hazards to management

Job Description

The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)Specialist/Coordinatorwillbe responsible forpromoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with corporate and local/state/federal safety standards, andmaintaininga safe working environment. They willmaintainsafety programs and inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with all safety regulations, OSHA, and industry standards. The EHSSpecialist/Coordinatorwill conduct training and coaching for associates on observed work habits; perform safety observations & audits; train andassistothers in completing their safety responsibilities (Audits, Following Safety Rules, etc.); and provide specific safety training asrequired.

YOUR TASKS

  • Maintain and administer site-specific safety programs;
  • Conduct trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits;
  • Lead and engage a site safety committee;
  • Maintainaccuratedaily, weekly, and monthlyKPIsto report to onsite management teams;
  • Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductions;
  • Track andfacilitatetrainings across the different jobs functions as needed;
  • Support incident reporting and investigation;
  • Conduct root cause analyses;
  • Complete orfacilitateinspections of all safety-related equipment, PPE, and procedures;
  • Ensure sitecomplies withall local,stateand federal environmental regulations;
  • Fulfill client-related EHS requirements;
  • Identifyand inform management ofhazards,compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in an Environment, Health & Safety related field
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification
  • Experience in emergency response planning and procedures
  • Strong communicationskills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holds First Aid / CPR certification
  • PIT safety awareness
  • Hazard identification / risk assessment experience
  • Warehouse operations orlogisticsexperience
  • Environmental compliance experience
  • Associate’sorBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, IndustrialHygieneor related field.
