Job summary

The EHS Specialist at AAR in Oklahoma City will ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety rules, identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement safety programs to prevent injuries.

You will work with management, employees, and regulatory agencies, lead audits, develop programs, and manage training, incident investigations, and permits. This role reports to the EHS Director and requires strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (3 years).
• Experience in Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) with knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Training in Hazardous Waste Management, OSHA compliance, and RCRA issues.

Responsibilities

• Representing the company during internal and external safety/environmental audits.
• Developing and maintaining safety and environmental programs, including regulatory compliance.
• Investigating accidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Conducting safety and environmental training.
• Managing workers' compensation claims and maintaining records.
• Liaising with regulatory agencies and ensuring permits are obtained and maintained.
• Leading safety committees and coordinating safety efforts across teams.
• Developing contingency plans for emergencies and hazardous materials oversight.
• All other duties as assigned.
