Job summary

Comrise in Glendale, KY is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Engineer to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives at a state-of-the-art automotive manufacturing facility. The role includes developing programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Training will be conducted for about six months in Marshall, MI with company-provided accommodations, after which the permanent position will relocate to Glendale, KY. Strong safety culture and incident investigation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS/Engineering/Industrial Safety or related field.
• Experience in large manufacturing organizations.
• Experience in automotive or automotive-related manufacturing industry.
• Stable employment history with at least three years at most recent employer.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety standards, and environmental compliance.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and employee safety training.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to complete approximately six months of training in Marshall, MI before relocating to Glendale, KY.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
• Support emergency preparedness and emergency response programs.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
