Position Summary

The Safety / EHS Specialist supports Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at our Rincon, Georgia manufacturing facility. This role assists with safety compliance, training, inspections, and incident reporting across multi-shift operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of safety and EHS programs
• Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses
• Assist with workplace incident investigations and documentation
• Support OSHA recordkeeping, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs
• Coordinate and conduct safety training as required by regulation and company policy
• Assist with emergency response planning and drills
• Monitor and support proper use of PPE and safety equipment
• Collect safety data and assist with required reports
• Work collaboratively with departments to address safety concerns

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of safety or EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Ability to communicate clearly with employees and management
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Safety certifications (ASP, CSP, or similar) preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
• Ability to walk production areas and observe operations
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Exposure to industrial noise and equipment
