Job summary

Escalade Sports in Gainesville, FL is seeking an EHS Supervisor to manage and improve the Environmental, Health and Safety system at the facility. The role focuses on compliance with state and federal regulations and driving an strong EHS culture.

The successful candidate will lead risk assessments, manage waste streams, and coordinate training programs, while ensuring accurate reporting of EHS metrics and maintaining SDS databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, health or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in environmental safety role required.
• Knowledge of safety and hazardous waste regulatory requirements.
• Supervision and leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in industrial recycling operations preferred.
• Analytical and project management skills.
• Familiarity with ergonomics preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with all departments to mitigate EHS risks.
• Promotes EHS culture and ensures compliance with standards and local regulations.
• Monitors EHS metrics: near misses, accidents, energy, water, and waste.
• Oversees waste streams and regulatory conformity.
• Performs hazard analysis and risk assessments.
• Maintains and updates chemical SDS database.
• Communicates environmental and safety procedures internally and externally.
• Organizes training and workshops for employees on environmental management and safety issues.
• Provides data-driven insights via charts, graphs, and presentations.
• Conducts workplace safety and EPA inspections for compliance.
• Oversees hearing protection, respirator, forklift, CPR programs, and training.
• Ensures proper sewer testing and lab result reporting.
• Complies with hazardous waste, MSGP, air/water permits and related regulations.
• Leads root-cause analysis after incidents and implements corrective actions.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by Production Manager.
