Job summary

Brunswick's EHS & Quality Compliance Specialist supports product compliance, workplace safety, environmental programs, and quality initiatives across the facility. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met while fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

  • Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of SOPs.

Position Overview

The EHS & Quality Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting product compliance, workplace safety, environmental compliance, and quality initiatives across the facility. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure products and facility operations meet regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions
  • Product Compliance & Quality
    • Manage product compliance and certification activities for new and existing products.
    • Lead product audit programs, including planning, execution, reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
    • Monitor, investigate, and resolve compliance and quality nonconformities, escalating critical issues as needed.
    • Support new product development, inspections, testing, and validation activities.
    • Maintain compliance documentation, certification records, and audit schedules.
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met.
    • Analyze audit results, warranty trends, customer feedback, and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
    • Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)
    • Support and maintain facility safety and environmental compliance programs.
    • Conduct safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow‑up.
    • Coordinate employee safety training, orientation programs, and safety committee activities.
    • Maintain regulatory programs related to hazard communication, SDS management, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), waste management, and environmental compliance.
    • Monitor safety and environmental performance metrics and recommend improvements.
    • Review equipment, processes, and materials to ensure EH&S compliance and employee safety.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, quality, compliance, EH&S, or a related role within a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, quality systems, auditing, and regulatory compliance principles.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the marine industry or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with standards and organizations such as ABYC, NMMA, USCG, EPA, CARB, ISO/CE, or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications.
  • Experience with quality management systems, compliance tracking tools, audit software, or CAD software.
  • Experience supporting both product compliance and EH&S programs.
  • Marine industry experience and familiarity with ABYC, NMMA, and related standards are preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with experience in other regulated manufacturing environments are encouraged.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments. Regular facility inspections, audits, and product evaluations are required. May be exposed to dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, and outdoor conditions. Occasional travel (up to 10%) and additional hours may be required to support business needs.

Compensation

Pay Range: $43,200-$59,9000. The hiring range for this position is $43,200-$59,9000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent on the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
