Program Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
Insight Global | Remote | Long-Term W2 Contract | 40 Hours/Week
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Program Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the development, execution, and expansion of a large-scale, multi-site EHS program. This is a fully remote, long-term W2 consulting opportunity supporting a high-visibility environment with significant growth potential.
This is not a traditional EHS technician or site safety lead role. We are looking for a program leader first who has the ability to build, scale, and govern complex operational programs while leveraging strong EHS expertise. The ideal candidate has successfully built programs from the ground up, led multi-site teams, and established the processes, standards, and governance structures necessary for long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery framework for a multi-site EHS program and develop a scalable operating model that supports future growth.
- Build, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, governance structures, and operational standards.
- Provide leadership and oversight for site leaders and EHS personnel across multiple locations.
- Drive consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across all program sites.
- Establish and maintain incident management, investigation, corrective action, and reporting processes.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into program performance.
- Lead shift governance and establish standards for operational leadership across coverage models.
- Create structured turnover and handoff processes to ensure alignment across teams and shifts.
- Improve engagement and productivity by developing meaningful workflows and deliverables for all operational teams.
- Partner closely with stakeholders, leadership teams, and field personnel to support ongoing program expansion and continuous improvement.
- Help scale the program as additional locations, personnel, and responsibilities are added.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience owning and leading large-scale programs from strategy through execution.
- Experience building processes, policies, governance structures, and operating models from the ground up.
- Strong Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated success managing teams across multiple sites or geographic locations.
- Experience leading incident management programs, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to manage rapidly expanding scope, headcount, and operational complexity.
- Strong systems and process orientation, including implementation and adoption of tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Director-level or senior program leadership experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale operational environments.
- Background in data centers, mission-critical facilities, construction, manufacturing, or other 24/7 operations.
- Experience working within highly regulated safety environments.
- Previous experience supporting large technology organizations.
