Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced EH&S professional for the Windsor Locks, CT site to develop and drive Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. The role collaborates with senior and line management to ensure a safe workplace and full regulatory compliance.

You will lead site EH&S initiatives, provide expert guidance to leadership, and support audits, incident investigations, and training programs to improve performance and culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of EH&S experience.
• U.S. citizenship required; access to information is restricted to authorized personnel.
• Minimum 5 years of prior EH&S experience and ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and partner with site management to improve EH&S culture across the organization.
• Offer technical guidance to leadership to ensure effective EH&S management system execution.
• Ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; establish investigation processes to prevent recurrences.
• Oversee risk assessments, controls, and EH&S training; support audits and compliance reviews.
• Provide timely EH&S performance data and root cause analysis to leadership and committees.
• Support regulatory compliance with EH&S standards and procedures.
• Own one or more EH&S programs at the site.
