Job summary

UNFI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Partner to lead EHS strategy at the Distribution Center, partnering with operations, HR, claims, and security to implement robust safety programs.

The role requires an associates or bachelor's degree in EHS with strong incident investigation and training experience, and preferred CSP/CIH or ASP certifications. In this on-site role, travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in EHS or closely related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field preferred.
• ASP certification preferred.
• CSP/CIH or other professional certifications highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute injury prevention programs to motivate a world class safety culture and minimize injury risk.
• Identify, assess, and control site hazards; support investigations with root cause analyses.
• Analyze trends to reduce injury frequency and direct training programs.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to manage EHS resources, projects, and policies.
