Job summary

UNFI seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Partner for its distribution center to implement the EHS strategy in a fast-paced environment. You will advise site stakeholders, including operations, HR, claims and security, on EHS matters and help maintain the site’s safety management system.

Key duties include injury prevention, hazard identification, trend analysis, and collaboration with leaders to manage resources and ensure compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in EHS, risk management or closely related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in EHS or related field.
• ASP certification preferred; CSP/CIH or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute injury prevention programs to foster world class safety culture.
• Identify, assess and control site hazards; assist root cause analyses.
• Analyze trends to reduce injury frequency; develop training programs.
