Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer for the Terafab Environmental Health and Safety program in Texas. The role focuses on building dashboards, analyzing safety-related data, and driving continuous improvement in a pioneering semiconductor fabrication environment.

Responsibilities include training staff on safety applications, collaborating with software teams, and delivering metric reports to leadership while traveling to other SpaceX locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, environmental health and safety project management, and/or environmental health and safety coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dashboards and tools for the Terafab environmental health and safety department.
• Analyze data related to environmental monitoring, incident reports, and safety performance to identify opportunities for data visualization.
• Collaborate with teams across all sites to solicit feedback on developed systems.
• Provide training sessions and educational materials to employees on awareness of proper usage of safety applications and visualization platforms.
• Collaborate with application software teams and/or contractors to create application improvements and manage software development projects to completion.
• Produce specific metric reports upon request.
• Identify operational challenges within the organization, lead problem formulation, determine root cause, and implement creative and effective solutions.
• Communicate effectively with different levels of the organization, including layout reviews with engineers to presentations with leadership.
