Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an EHS Technician III (Onboarding Training Coordinator) to coordinate onboarding workflows, support daily operations, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees in Lafayette, IN.

The role sits within PSLD and involves collaboration across teams to drive continuous improvement. Starting wage is $22.45/hour with overtime and a potential monthly attendance bonus; relocation to the Lebanon, IN facility is anticipated.

Qualifications

Experience in team leadership or coordination, preferably in HR or onboarding.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using onboarding and HR software systems.
Experience in training development and facilitation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Team Coordination & Leadership: Support onboarding and EHS team tasks; monitor daily operations; foster a cooperative team culture.
Training & Development: Enforce training schedules; keep materials up-to-date; identify opportunities for onboarding and staff development.
Operational Oversight: Set priorities; ensure onboarding aligns with policies and timelines; track progress.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with HR and other departments to refine onboarding strategies.
