Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. invites applications for its Leadership and Technical Development Program (LTDP) in Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS). This three-year rotational program is designed for recent graduates looking to accelerate their careers by tackling EHS challenges. Participants will undertake three 12-month rotations, gaining valuable exposure across the company.

The ideal candidate will have a completed degree in relevant fields, strong analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to an inclusive work environment. Positions are located in the United States, and onsite work is required five days a week.

About the Role

Caterpillar's Leadership and Technical Development Program (LTDP) for Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) is a three-year rotational program designed to accelerate the development of entry-level talent and provide a solid foundation for meeting EHS challenges within operations and manufacturing. Participants receive broad exposure to Caterpillar, engage in diverse project responsibilities, work with a global team, experience cross‑functional job roles, and have valuable networking opportunities with leaders at all levels.

What You Will Do

Professionals within the program complete three 12‑month rotations based on business needs. You must be willing to travel and relocate to any participating facility in North America upon hire and throughout each rotation. Typical rotational assignments include:

  • Corporate/Enterprise EHS – responsible for enterprise safety‑driven strategy initiatives.
  • Front‑Line Leadership – oversee production or logistics activities, supervise daily worker tasks, coordinate between teams, ensure safety, and monitor performance.
  • Facility EHS – develop the Environmental, Health, and Safety strategy for the facility while completing specific EHS assignments to support performance and compliance.

Program Qualifications

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0.
  • Willingness to relocate domestically as required for each rotation and for post‑program assignment.
  • Program start dates: January & June 2027.

Summary Pay Range

$81,370.00 – $122,060.00 (salary may vary based on location and experience).
