Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an EHS Manager in Projects (EHSMiP) to support utility construction, electrical transmission, and HV project activities across multiple sites in Raleigh, NC, Orlando, FL, or Houston, TX. You will develop and implement the EHS plan, provide guidance to Project Managers and Site Managers, and ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or closely related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant safety experience considered.
• CSP or CUSP certification preferred; if not held, candidate must obtain within 12 months of employment.
• Working knowledge of IEEE NESC, NFPA 70E, 29 CFR 1926 Subpart V, and 29 CFR 1910.269.
• Experience in supporting utility construction, electrical transmission/distribution, substations, HV equipment, and contractor safety management.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 70% based on project/site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify applicable EHS requirements and develop the EHS plan and emergency management concept.
• Perform risk assessments, define mitigation measures, and support site managers with clear guidance and risk controls.
• Provide EHS tender input, budgets, project risks, permits, and certificates to the Project Manager.
• Implement training and qualification programs for workers, contractors, and site leadership.
• Review contractor safety documents and risk assessments to ensure alignment with safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, report EHS performance, investigate incidents, and elevate non-compliance when needed.
