Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking a seasoned EHS leader in Cedar Rapids, IA to own and execute environmental, health, and safety strategies. You will drive KPI-based performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Legal and Communications on incident responses affecting people and brands.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management (or related field) with 3–5 years’ experience, plus professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management or equivalent is preferred; bachelor’s level degree is required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in safety and environmental management is required.
• Professional designations such as CHCM, 30‑hour OSHA, Ergonomics, CSP, or ASP preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA Regulations, DOT Regulations and Management Systems (ISO 14001, Safety Management Systems).
• Willingness to grow with the organization and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute EHS strategies that align with corporate objectives.
• Utilize KPI metrics to drive EHS performance.
• Report and communicate EHS results and plans to stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborate with Legal and Communications on incidents affecting people, plant, or brands.
• Maintain compliance with EHS legislation and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Develop and manage department EHS budget and tools.
• Drive continuous improvement and zero-incident culture.
• Provide training to staff on EHS expectations.
