Qualifications

EHS Manager | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 – $123,000 depending on experience

Usual Responsibilities

Deliver safety training and onboarding for new and existing employees.
Manage PPE programs, industrial hygiene sampling and exposure monitoring.
Oversee emergency response plans, drills and first aid readiness.
Track EHS metrics and present trends to plant leadership.
Maintain and update environmental, health and safety programs for the plant.
Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify hazards and confirm corrective actions are closed.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for injuries and near misses.
Coordinate OSHA and environmental compliance reporting and recordkeeping.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills for training and reporting.
Ability to work on the plant floor across shifts.
Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or a related field.
or more years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action programs.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with behavior based safety programs.
Familiarity with workers compensation case management.
Certified Safety Professional or similar certification.
Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems.
Background in industrial hygiene or ergonomics.
