Job description

A rapidly growing advanced materials company is seeking an EHS Manager for its Marion, Indiana operation. This organization is helping strengthen the domestic supply chain for defense, data infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and clean energy applications. This person will play a key role in establishing and scaling EHS programs as a facility rapidly expands from a small startup operation into a larger manufacturing site. The Role

• Lead and develop site-wide environmental, health, and safety programs for a rapidly expanding industrial manufacturing facility.
• Drive safety initiatives with a strong focus on industrial safety, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, chemical safety, training, and regulatory compliance.
• Support the startup and expansion of production operations, helping implement best practices, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage environmental compliance activities including air permitting, hazardous waste regulations, stormwater requirements, and wastewater pretreatment operations.
• Partner closely with site leadership and operations teams to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

The Candidate

• 4+ years of environmental, health, and safety experience within an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting facility startups, new production lines, or rapidly growing operations is highly preferred.
• Hands-on, solutions-oriented professional who is comfortable working in new environments and tackling new challenges.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety programs, chemical safety, lockout/tagout, machine guarding and environmental compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Experience with air permits, RCRA regulations, and Tier I/Tier II reporting is a plus.
