Job summary

Crane Company is seeking an EHS Manager for its Los Angeles facility to lead all environmental, health, and safety programs. The role drives a proactive safety culture, partners with plant leadership, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in EHS, manufacturing experience, and strong regulatory knowledge. This on-site role emphasizes incident investigations, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience managing environmental programs, safety programs, audits, and permitting requirements.
• Experience leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA, OSHA, EPA, hazardous waste regs, and emergency preparedness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute site EHS strategy aligned with Crane Company standards.
• Lead initiatives to foster a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching, training, and continuous improvement.
• Advise site leadership on EHS risks, compliance obligations, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, EPA, DTSC, SCAQMD, SWRCB, and local requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, investigations, and agency inquiries.
• Maintain permits, reporting obligations, records, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary changes.
• Lead investigations of injuries, environmental incidents, near misses, and regulatory findings.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and exposure assessments to mitigate hazards.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for all levels.
• Maintain emergency response, evacuation, spill response, and business continuity programs.
• Coordinate drills and lead during crisis events.
• Establish EHS metrics and monitor performance indicators.
• Lead audits and support ISO 14001/45001 certifications.
