Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Bradenton, FL is seeking an EHS Manager to lead safety and environmental programs at the Corrugated Container facility near Tampa. You will partner with site leadership to mitigate risks, drive compliance with OSHA/EPA standards, and foster a proactive safety culture.

This role reports to the General Manager and requires a bachelor’s degree in safety or related field and 2+ years in manufacturing safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience managing a safety program within a manufacturing facility.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental programs to foster a proactive culture.
• Investigate EHS incidents using root cause methods.
• Develop site safety training plans and KPIs.
• Coordinate inspections and compliance reporting.
• Partner with leadership to close findings from audits.
