Job summary

The EHS Manager at Smurfit WestRock’s Bradenton, FL corrugated container facility will lead safety and environmental programs to mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence in daily operations.

Reporting to the site General Manager, you will develop training plans, conduct investigations, manage EHS calendars, and partner with leadership to drive KPI achievements. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of manufacturing safety experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience managing a safety program within a manufacturing facility required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and cultivate a culture of excellence in workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Mitigate risks, prevent accidents, ensure regulatory compliance and promote safe behaviors.
• Partner with safety and environmental teams and site leadership to implement programs and KPIs.
• Develop training plans for safety and environmental awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Perform investigations of EHS incidents using human and organizational performance approaches.
• Coordinate site safety and environmental inspections and manage compliance calendars.
