Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or Risk Management.
• CSP certification and OSHA 30-hour training are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interpret regulatory standards affecting operations and ensure compliance.
• Develop and monitor safety processes, training programs and practices to prevent accidents.
• Develop and monitor environmental processes to meet environmental rules.
• Identify hazardous conditions and implement corrective programs.
• Provide safety and health support to plant personnel.
• Plan and monitor day-to-day training schedule.
• Communicate with management and provide reports for safety decisions.
• Ensure training materials comply with directives and policies.
• Create Job Specific Training Modules.
• Investigate serious injuries and report.
• Review accidents and loss trends and drive improvement.
• Interface with insurer and HR for return-to-work.
• Coordinate facility safety inspections.
• Adhere to food safety, quality and legal compliance; crisis management.
• Train and coach managers on safety topics.
• Supervise trainees.
