Job summary

Ferrara Candy Co. is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to lead the EHS function across a manufacturing facility. The role focuses on integrating safety and environmental management into operations and reporting to senior leadership on progress against goals.

You will build cross-functional teams, drive regulatory compliance, and develop programs that reduce risk, improve safety performance, and promote a culture of responsible operations across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated 5-10 years of experience working in a safety and environmentally conscious manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience coordinating EHS sustainability activities in a manufacturing setting.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA and regulatory compliance inspection procedures and safety standards.
• An EHS-related certification such as (CSHO, WSO, OSHT, CET, CHMM, ASP, CSP) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to ensure compliance with allowed federal, state, and local safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs.
• Develop and implement EHS programs to promote safe work practices and continuous improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and prepare CAPA reports for prevention of recurrence.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to share knowledge and drive improvements.
• Oversee regulatory audits/inspections and maintain accurate record keeping.
• Drive sustainability initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites.
