Job summary

Somafina, a growing nutraceutical co-manufacturer in Utah, seeks an EHS Manager to own the safety program across manufacturing, packaging, and lab operations. You will implement safety protocols, lead OSHA, FDA, and GMP compliance, and manage incident response and CAPA with cross-functional leadership.

The role emphasizes building a proactive safety culture through daily walks, training, and collaboration with QA, Production, HR, and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive EHS experience, including leading or managing safety programs in nutraceutical/pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience managing direct reports or leading cross-functional safety initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns the EHS function across manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory operations; sets safety strategies and priorities.
• Ensures OSHA, FDA, and GMP compliance and manages incident investigations and CAPA.
• Leads safety inspections, training programs, and daily safety walks to reinforce a proactive safety culture.
• Oversees workers' compensation processes and return-to-work plans; ensures ADA/FLSA/FMLA compliance.
• Partners with QA, Production, HR, and Maintenance to align EHS priorities across departments.
