Job summary

Somafina seeks an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist to develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols across manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory operations. You will ensure full OSHA, FDA, and GMP compliance, manage incident/ workers' compensation cases, and promote a proactive safety culture through daily facility walks and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 2–4 years of EHS experience in nutraceutical/pharma/food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, GMPs, FDA regs, and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections across production, packaging, and labs to ensure GMP and OSHA compliance.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Manage workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and ADA/FLSA/FMLA compliance.
• Deliver GMP, PPE, chemical safety, and SOP training; collaborate with QA, production, HR, and maintenance.
