International Paper is seeking a Complex HSE Manager to lead safety programs at our Belleville, IL and Fenton, MO facilities. The role reports to the Site Manager and collaborates with regional EHS staff to ensure regulatory and company EHS compliance.

You will manage incident investigations, corrective actions, training, and safety culture initiatives, while promoting sustainable practices across the site and coordinating with leadership to meet annual objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years EHS experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with progressive EHS cultures and safety leadership.
• Knowledge of EHS compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; presentation abilities.
• Organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel for training, meetings and site support.

Responsabilités

• Lead systems, processes and procedures that promote a positive safety culture; collaborate with local leadership to meet EHS regulations and company programs.
• Support and foster safety culture and environmental compliance of the facility.
• Assign and track EHS activities and corrective actions; maintain documentation.
• Assess programs against standards and develop corrective action plans to close gaps.
• Lead leading indicator efforts (safety observations, 5S, hazard recognition).
• Lead contractor safety efforts; monitor contractor work plans and compliance.
• Manage energy control, hearing conservation and chemical management programs.
• Participate in internal and external EHS audits; review results for deficiencies.
